Breathtaking views at Sonnmatten
Waking up to stunning Matterhorn views every morning was a highlight of our stay. The cozy ambiance and fresh croissants each morning truly made us feel at home. A memorable cozy atmosphere!
The location was a bit of a trek uphill, which made lugging heavy bags a challenge. Additionally, not having a reception at the hotel kan be inconvenient for inquiries.

The chocolate muffins were heavenly! The views of the Matterhorn from our One-Bedroom Apartment were simply breathtaking. Plus, the small kitchen allowed for some cozy nights in with homemade meals.
Breakfast was in individual packages, which is cute, but I found my bread missing one morning and couldn’t track down any staff to help. Still, every detail sparkled amidst the cozy ambiance.

The Budget Single Room offered a cozy retreat, and the daily fresh croissants were a delightful touch. Easy access to the free bus was a major bonus for hitting the slopes. However, the walk back uphill to the hotel after a long day was a challenge. Also, a reception desk would have enhanced convenience for inquiries and assistance during our stay.

The views from the apartment were stunning, especially the Matterhorn. Our grandaughter loved watching the gondolas from the balcony as we enjoyed a meal in the well-equipped kitchen. We also dined at the restaurant, where the lamb was the star of the meal!
My wife says that the uphill walk could be challenging for kids.
